Dance Exams

Prior to Half Term we had our first set of exams for 2022 which the students have all been working very hard towards.

With Ballet upstairs and Tap and Modern downstairs it was certainly a very busy but rewarding day!

For some of our students in Primary ballet this was the first dance exam they had ever done!

Here’s what Matilda (left) had to say about her Grade 2 Tap exam:

“I think exams are a big part of dancing as you get to see how far you have improved over the term, that’s why I was excited to take part in my exam alongside Ellie and Sofia. Although our examiner was quite strict I think that it is always good when you have a strict examiner as they push you to do your best and strive for perfection.

When we walked into the studio I was scared at first, but then after we got to know our examiner it went smooth as butter. We then did all of our exercises which were so much fun and I’m sure we got a bonus point for our hair. Overall the exam was really fun and we got to have a practice before each exercise so we knew what we were doing.”
