Beth Wood

Beth grew up in Herefordshire and began dancing at the age of 4, studying Imperial Ballet, Modern and Tap. Developing a strong passion for dance, she decided to pursue a career in ballet teaching. Beth attended Janet Marshall’s Dance Centre and completed her DDI in Imperial Ballet in 2016, before successfully gaining a place at the Royal Academy of Dance, London. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Ballet Education and RAD Registered Teacher Status in 2019. Whilst studying for her degree, Beth expanded her expertise by completing her DDE in Imperial Ballet and became a certified Progressing Ballet Technique teacher.

Since graduating Beth has gained much experience teaching a range of ages and abilities in RAD and ISTD dance schools across London, as well as working as part of English National Ballet School’s junior team. During this time she developed a great interest in the science behind the training of ballet and as a result she is currently pursuing an MSc in Strength and Conditioning at Hartpury University. Upon graduating she hopes to work with vocational ballet students providing training programmes to prepare them for the demands of 21st century ballet.

Beth is very excited to be a part of the team at JMDS.
